We are a manufacturer of guitars and basses, based in Loudéac, in central Brittany. The first discussions begin in 2021 between Frédéric Donval, Anthony Ceccarelli and Nicolas Masson. The culmination of these reflections materialized in 2023 with the creation of the company Flamel Guitars.

Today our team is made up of Frédéric, luthier-designer, responsible for the research and development of all our models. Anthony manufactures all the microphones that equip Flamel guitars and basses. Pierre, luthier, is responsible for quality control. Prescillia, luthier, ensures the choice of woods, their shaping and finishes. Nicolas takes care of all the commercial and administrative aspects of Flamel Guitars.

Yes, all violin making operations are carried out in the workshop, in Loudéac in central Brittany. From cutting wood to adjusting instruments. The pickups are made in Normandy in the Cecca guitars workshop.

Contrary to popular belief, roasting does not allow “green” wood to dry faster.
To be able to roast wood, it must first have less than 10% residual humidity. This percentage is already very low. This wood will then spend between 20 and 30 hours in a sort of oven, under pressure, with regular injection of water vapor. It comes out dry, with a color ranging from caramel to chocolate and above all extremely stable with a very notable contribution to its sound and resonance quality.

Yes, if you cannot find what you are looking for among our Flamel Standard, Flamel Deluxe or Flamel Custom ranges, you can contact us to let us know what you want via email. Thanks to Frédéric's expertise and our large number of suppliers, we can respond to all your requests.

We produce in series.

Generally speaking, we produce series of 20 guitars. These 20 guitars can reach the stores with which we work, be sold as pre-orders or join our Loudéac Showroom. A pre-order allows you to purchase a Flamel before it goes into production. This allows us to adapt our production volume to avoid running out of stock too quickly or conversely having too many instruments in stock.

When you have found your Flamel , simply add it to your basket and then proceed to checkout. Once your payment has been recorded, your order will be validated. Your guitar will arrive within the time frame indicated on the product page.

After confirming your order you will receive a confirmation email.

An in-stock model is shipped from our workshop in Brittany within 24 hours of receipt of your payment (immediately via Paypal and up to three days by bank transfer). A tracking number will be communicated to you upon shipment.

For pre-orders, the shipping date is indicated at the header of the description of the selected model. You can also track the status of your order in your customer area on flamel guitars.com.
Once shipped from France, it takes between 2 and 3 days for delivery in mainland France. Up to 6 days for international.

Even if we do everything possible to ensure that you receive your Flamel on time, we may sometimes be subject to production hazards (a machine that breaks, wood that does not meet our quality criteria, the end of the world, etc…). In this case, we will notify you by email of the delay and remain available by telephone or email to discuss this subject.

Yes, up to 6 days before the shipping date. For any cancellation, simply contact us by email at contact@ flamel guitars.com
The full refund of the order will be made within 14 legal days.

Yes. If, despite all your attempts, a Flamel is not made for you (it can happen!), don't panic.

You have 14 days, after receipt of your guitar, to inform us of your withdrawal, by e-mail to contact@ flamel guitars.com

You then have 14 days to return it to us IN ITS ORIGINAL COVER AND BOX. Once the guitar has been inspected by our team, several scenarios may arise.

Here are some examples:

The guitar is in new condition (zero defects): full refund

The guitar shows signs of wear/scratches on the pickguard/mic covers: refund of up to 90% of the value of the instrument

The guitar shows signs of impact on the body, neck or fingerboard: refund of up to 70% of the value of the instrument.

The guitar shows traces of modifications to the electronics: refund of up to 70% of the value of the instrument.

If you combine the above (please don't do this): refund of up to 50% of the value of the instrument.

The instruments that we sell via our site are guaranteed for 2 years.

First of all, if you need after-sales service on your Flamel , contact us by e-mail at contact@ flamel guitars.com , describing to us as precisely as possible the subject that concerns you.
Please feel free to attach photos. Depending on the nature of the adjustments to be made, we will direct your instrument as quickly as possible to our workshop in Brittany or to a luthier closest to you.
In the case of an in-store purchase, they will always contact us if necessary.

In any case, do NOT carry out ANY repairs or modifications yourself.

A Flamel stock B is a guitar in perfect condition which may have been used for commercial operations, workshops, artist videos or tests for magazines.

These guitars have no defects but can no longer be sold “new”.

We have calculated our prices as accurately as possible. You buy a Flamel at the real price of a Flamel .
We could have increased our prices by 50 euros and “offered” you shipping, but would we have been transparent with you?
