Where are Flamel Guitars manufactured?
Flamel Guitars are designed and assembled in our workshop in Brittany.
We work using artisanal and semi-industrial methods, in small series or to order depending on the model.
Certain specific operations or components may be carried out by specialist partners, selected for their expertise.
Are Flamel guitars mass-produced or custom-made?
Both.
Flamel Guitars offers:
- standard models , manufactured upstream or in small batches,
- pre -orders for a series , integrated into an upcoming production batch,
- Custom instruments , manufactured according to customer specifications.
The applicable conditions (deadlines, cancellation, withdrawal) depend on the type of product.
👉 Details are specified in our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
What is roasting?
Roasting is a heat treatment applied to already dry wood, aimed at improving its stability and acoustic behavior.
Given the living nature of wood, each piece remains unique: grain, color, and density can vary from one instrument to another. These variations are an integral part of the instrument's character.
Can I order a fully customized guitar?
Yes.
If a standard model does not exactly meet your expectations, we can study a customized project (finish, configuration, specific options).
👉 Custom instruments are manufactured on a dedicated basis and cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has begun, in accordance with current legislation and our Terms and Conditions.
What is a pre-order?
We produce in batches. Generally, we produce batches of 20 guitars. These 20 guitars can then be sent to the stores we work with, sold as pre-orders, or made available at our showroom in Loudéac.
A pre-order allows you to purchase a Flamel before it goes into production. This allows us to adjust our production volume to avoid running out of stock too quickly or, conversely, having too many instruments in stock.
How do I place a pre-order?
Pre-orders are placed directly on the website, just like a regular order.
A deposit is required upon order confirmation.
Manufacturing and reservation of the instrument will only begin after payment has been received.
What are the manufacturing and shipping times?
The delivery times indicated on the website or by email are estimates , established based on:
- of the workshop's workload,
- of the product type (series, pre-order, custom),
- supply constraints.
Standard models can be shipped quickly after payment is received.
Pre-orders and made-to-order items require a production lead time.
In case of a significant delay, we inform the customer and remain available to discuss the matter.
👉 Deadlines do not constitute a firm contractual commitment.
Can I cancel an order or pre-order?
Pre-orders of non-personalized series :
cancellation may be considered as long as manufacturing has not started.
Custom or made-to-order instruments :
once manufacturing has started, cancellation is no longer possible and the deposit remains with us, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
Can I return a guitar after receiving it?
In accordance with the law, the right of withdrawal applies only to standard, non-personalised products , within 14 days of receipt.
The product must be returned in a condition that allows it to be resold.
In the event of depreciation due to excessive handling or damage observed upon return, a proportional deduction may be applied, in accordance with regulations.
👉 Custom-made or made-to-order instruments are not eligible for the right of withdrawal.
What is the warranty on Flamel guitars?
All our instruments benefit from the legal guarantees provided by law , including the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects.
The warranty does not cover:
unsuitable humidity conditions.
normal wear and tear,
damages related to poor maintenance,
modifications or repairs carried out by an unauthorized third party,
How does customer service work?
If you have any problems, simply contact us by email describing the situation and attaching photos if necessary.
We study each request on a case-by-case basis and determine the most suitable solution: return to workshop, local intervention or technical advice.
Any unauthorized intervention may void the warranty.
What is a Stock B?
A Flamel stock B is a guitar in mint condition that may have been used for commercial operations, workshops, artist clips, or magazine reviews.
These guitars are not defective but can no longer be sold as “new”.
